JOC HELPING TO PROMOTE JUDO

The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) has launched ‘Judo in School’, a pioneering initiative in partnership with the International Judo Federation, Jordan Judo Federation and the English School.
The project will introduce the sport to children through professional coaching during their sports class for two months, with a view to them moving on to the next level of the sport.
It was launched with a performance by the federation’s athletes to create excitement among the participants and their parents.
JOC Education Department Manager, Sawsan Qaddoumi, also highlighted the importance of the Olympic Values in promoting sport in our everyday lives.
Jordan Judo Federation, Baker Al Abbadi, pointed out the significance of the partnership in promoting the sport in the Kingdom through creating more awareness. English School Manager, Amal Al-Qasim, said the school was grateful to have the opportunity to host the initiative which fits in with their philosophy to promote a healthy lifestyle among the pupils.
