BOXERS READY FOR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan’s top boxers are taking part in the World Boxing Championships, which will run until September 21 in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg.

The national team is represented by Hussein Ishaish (91kg), Oday Al-Hindawi (81kg), Ziad Ishaish (69kg), Obada Al-Kessbeh (63kg), Mohammed Al-Wadi (57kg) and Mohammed Al-Gharaghir (52kg).

The team has spent some time in Russia preparing for the tournament and will go into the event keen to secure vital ranking points as the Olympic Games in Tokyo draw closer next year.
