FIGHTERS SET FOR WORLD KARATE LEAGUE
Sep 04, 2019
Jordan have arrived in Tokyo where they will compete at the World Karate League from September 6-8.
More than 600 fighters from 79 countries will compete in the host city for the 2020 Olympics, offering them a timely insight into the preparations and the facilities available.
Abdul Rahman Al-Masatfa (-67kg), Ahmed Shadid (-75kg) and Mahmoud Al-Sajan (-84 kg) have travelled and will be coached by Mohamed Osman, with physiotherapist Saed Abu Shawish making up the delegation.
The tournament will provide the opportunity to pick up points towards qualification for next year’s Olympic Games, so every match is vital. Following Tokyo, there will be two further rounds in Moscow and Madrid next month.
