GOLD, SILVER AND BRONZES FOR YOUNG ATHLETES

Jordan have won four medals on the opening day of the West Asian Junior Championships in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Middle distance runner Hiba Omar won gold in the 800m, while Rana Al Bakkar won silver in the girls’ shot put with teammate, Thekra Shihadeh, finishing third for a bronze medal. Sprinter, Masa Shakaa, took bronze in the 100m.
