SCHOOLBOYS SET FOR ASIAN BOXING

Jordan’s top young fighters are confident of making an impact at the Asian Confederation Schoolboys Boxing Championships being held in Kuwait from August 3-9.
The tournament is for boys born in 2005 or 2006 and will feature 14 weights with over 300 boxers from 25 countries expected.
Jordan will be represented by Qais Ishaish (33-35kg), Aws Ishaish (37kg), Hamza Malas (40 kg), Abdelhakeem Jaradat (43kg), Omar Hadidi (46kg) Zaid Nidal (49kg), Elias Joudeh (52kg), Faris Ahmed (55kg), Jaafar Timour (58kg), Jihad Abu Khadija (61kg), Abdullah Al-Dalqamouni (67kg), Raji Hiyasat (+70kg).
Dr. Nashwan Nashwan is head of delegation and the coaches travelling are Omar Majali, and assistant Yazan Sorour.
The team has been preparing with an intensive camp at the Olympic Preparation Centre, in Amman.
