JORDAN INVOLVED IN OPENING DAY OF ASIAN KARATE CHAMPS

Jordan will be in action Friday on day one of the 16th Asian Karate Championships in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent. Omar Al Najjar (55kg) will meet Kuwait's Sultan Al Mutairi, while Mohamed Fahed (60kg) will meet Hong Kong's Li Chan-ho.
Abdulrahman Al-Masatfeh (67kg), the gold medal winner last time out, will meet with the winner of Turkmenistan's Hoshev Diyar and Cambodian Horn Chani in his first match.
Another reigning champion, Bashar Al Najjar (75kg), will meet the winner of Chinese Taipei’s Chan-Will and Afghanistan’s Abbas Rezaei. Mahmoud Sajjan (85kg), the silver medalist last year, will start his campaign against Tajikistan's Heydarov Jafer. Nicola Kabush will fight m Macau’s Lu Wi Cat. In the women's competition, Kholoud Hussain (55kg) will face Uzbekistan's Rajihova, while Aseel Al-Nuaimi (61kg) will meet Chinese Taipei‘s Yan Yai. Huda Jabr (68kg) will start her fighting against Hong Kong's Wang Li.
The individual fights for all weights will be held Friday, with the bronze medal matches and finals being held on Saturday. The final day of the tournament will be for team fighting
