khattab Wins Bronze World Powertlifting Championship

Abdul Kareem Khattab, the national powerlifting champion, won the bronze medal at the World Championships in Kazakhstan on Wednesday.

Khattab lifted an amazing 213kg in the 88kg to finish third behind Egyptian Hani Abdel Hadi in second place after lifting 216 kg and China’s Geixong after he lifted 228kg for gold.

This is the third medal achieved by our national team in the tournament after the silver by Omar Qarada and bronze for Mohammed al-Shnaiti
