JORDAN WITH AUSTRALIA IN WORLD CUP QUALIFYING GROUP

Jordan have been drawn with favourites Australia in Group B for the second roubd of Asian qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup (Qatar 2022).
They are joined by Chinese Taipei, Kuwait and Nepal. The draw in Kuala Lumpur resulted in:
Group A: China, Syria, Philippines, Maldives, Guam
Group B: Australia, Jordan, China Taipei, Kuwait, Nepal Group
C: Iran, Iraq, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Cambodia
Group D: Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Palestine, Yemen, Singapore
Group E: Qatar, Oman, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh Group
F: Japan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Myanmar, Mongolia
Group G: UAE, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia
Group H: South Korea, Lebanon, North Korea, Turkmenistan and Sri Lanka
The first of each of the eight groups qualifies for the third round of qualifying, with the top four teams in second place for the total, 12 teams that will qualify directly to the Asian Cup (China 2023). In the third and final round of the qualifiers, the 12 teams will be divided into two groups, each of which will have six teams to play against each other (each team will play 10 matches).
The first and second teams will qualify for the World Cup finals, The two teams will have two round matches to qualify for the World Cup. The second round of Asian qualifiers will be played from September 5, 2019 to June 9, 2020
