SECOND VICTORY FOR BASKETBALL SIDE

Jordan have picked up their second victory at the William Jones Cup in Chinese Taipei. After starting the tournament with two defeats and losing another to Japan, Jordan have bounced back by beating the host nation’s B side 93-69.

After an even first quarter, Jordan took control of the last three quarters to run out comfortable winners. Zein Najdawi led the way with 28 points, followed by Youssef Abu Wazna with 15 and Freddy Ibrahim with 13 points.

On Wednesday, Iran will be next for Jordan, who are using the event to prepare for the FIBA World Cup to be held in China from August 31 to September 15. Jordan are in Group G along with The Dominican Republic, France and Germany.
