KARATE TEAM ARRIVES IN UZBEKISTAN

Jordan have arrived in the Uzbekistan capital of Tashkent to prepare for the 16th Asian Karate Championship this weekend.
The team has already held its first training session under coach, Mohamed Ibrahim, who has praised the level fitness and the players’ morale ahead of their big test against the continent’s best.
The national team includes: Mohammed Fahed (-60kg), Omar Al Najjar (-55kg), Abdul Rahman Al Masatfa (-67kg), Bashar Al Najjar (-75kg) and Mahmud Sajan (-84kg), Nequla Kabush (+84 kg), Khulood Hussein (-55kg), Aseel Al Nuaimi (-61kg) and Huda Jabr (-68kg).
Joining them will be Mu'tasem Billah Kheir, Ahmed Shadid and Mazen Al Jaidi who will participate in the team event on the final day of the competition. Last time out, the championship was held in Amman and Jordan won medals through Abdul Rahman Al Masatfa and Bashar Al Najjar (both gold) and Mahmoud Al-Sajjan (silver).
