JORDAN SET FOR ASIAN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

With the 2020 Olympic Games a little over a year away, Jordan’s Karate team will be looking to pick up some crucial qualifying points at the Asian Championships in Tashkent this weekend.
Mohammed Fahad (-60kg), Omar Al Najjar (-55kg), Abdul Rahman Masatfa (-67kg), Bashar Al Najjar (-75kg) and Mahmoud Al-Sajjan (-84kg), Nicola Kabush (+84 kg), Khuloud Hussein (-55kg), Asil Al Nuaimi (-61kg) and Huda Jaber (-68kg) have all travelled along with Mutasem Billah Kheir and Ahmed Shedid who will participate with the rest of their teammates in the team event on the last day.
Jordan have prepared for the event with a training camp in Egypt under the watchful eye of coach, Mohamed Ibrahim. At the 2018 edition, held in Amman, Abdulrahman Al Masatfa and Bashar Najjar won gold medals and Mahmoud Al-Sajjan picked up a silver.
