JORDAN BRONZE AT KARATE YOUTH LEAGUE

Ahmad Shadid has won a bronze medal at the World Karate Federation Youth (U21) League in the Croatian city of Umag. The 21-year-old scooped his bronze in the -75kg weight after some superb performances.
He opened his campaign with a first round victory over Slovenia's Primestić, and then beat Belarusian Paravik Dezianis to reach the last eight.
He continued his form with a victory over Ukraine's Karas Oleksandr, before his run ended in the semi-final against a Kosovan opponent. He then had to fight for the bronze medal and picked up two more wins to secure third.
