WRESTLING EVENT TO MARK ARMY DAY

A Wrestling event will be held to mark the Great Arab Revolution and Army Day this weekend.

It gets underway on Friday with Greco-Roman and Freestyle Wrestling championships in Al Hussein Youth City for up to 100 grapplers.

The Greco-Roman event and junior competitions will open the event, which is being held to promote the sport and encourage more people, especially the young, to participate. It is a busy time for Jordan Wrestling, with the teams preparing for the Asian Championships next month in Kazakhstan and Thailand.
