Jun 02, 2019
Jordan’s women have won team silver at the Para Polish Table Tennis Open. The team consisting of the trio of Khitam Abu Awad, Fatima Al Azzam and Fatin Alimat recorded wins over Russia and Great Britain, before losing to Serbia in the final.
The men’s team lost in the last eight and missed out on the medals. The silver medal provides vital qualification points for Jordan in their bid to qualify for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. There will be two more qualifying tournaments in Chinese Taipei and Finland.
