A delegation from the UAE, including two coaches and two Ju-jitsu fighters, have joined Jordan’s national team for a training camp at the Olympic Preparation Centre (OPC) in Amman.
The UAE delegation includes the two coaches, Hassan Mousa and Brazil's Tiago Barreto, along with Mohamed Jassem Al- Mansouri and Mansour Jassem Al-Mansouri. Tunisian, Moussa, who has participated in two Olympic Judo competitions in 1996 and 2000, praised the OPC and the services it provides to Jordanian athletes.
“The atmosphere is wonderful here. The OPC is very professional and it offers everything the athletes need and provides them with the perfect training opportunity,” he said, adding that the level of competition with the Jordanian fighters was high.
“The Jordanian team is one of the best in the world and perhaps the recent achievements are showing this,” he explained. “So we decided to visit here and share our training methods with the stars of the Jordanian team, and also for us to benefit from their expertise and skills.”
The Jordan national team will continue preparations under the national coach, Zaid Abu Saud, to participate in the Grand Prix, which will be hosted by the Kazakhstan capital, Nur-Sultan, from June 20-23.
