3X3 TEAM HEADS TO ASIAN CUP

Jordan’s 3X3 Basketball team has travelled to China to compete in the Asian Cup.

The tournament, in Changsha, is the fourth edition of the tournament with the Jordan squad made up of Mahmoud Abden, Malek Kanaan, Yousef Abu Wazana and Khaled Abu Aboud, along with coach Moatasem Salama and the physio Mustafa Amerah.

Twelve teams will compete over the weekend with Jordan included in the same group as Japan, who they play first on Friday, and Turkmenistan, who they meet later that same day.

The top two go through to the quarter-finals. The first edition of the tournament was held in 2013 in the Qatari capital of Doha, where the host team won the title.
