ANOTHER GOLD FOR KARATE YOUNGSTERS

With eight medals already in the bag, Jordan have picked up more glory at the Karate 1 Youth League in Limassol, Cyprus. Saeed Al Najjar clinched a marvellous gold on the final day of the event, which has welcomed over 1,500 fighters from 58 countries.
His victory in the -52kg weight comes just a week after he took silver at the Asian Youth Championships held in Malaysia, and it was secured with victories over fighters from Russia (2), Scotland, Ukraine and Romania before beating France’s Hilal Amini in the final.
The medal takes Jordan’s haul from the event to nine medals, including three gold, two silver and four bronze. The 2019 Karate 1 Youth League has launched in Limassol and will continue to rounds in Croatia, Mexico and Italy.
