AL-JAZEERA CONTINUE BRILLIANT AFC CUP FORM

Al-Jazeera took another step forward towards qualifying from the group stage of the West Asian area of the AFC Cup by beating Bahrain’s Al Nejmeh, 3-0, on Tuesday.
Mohamed Tannous gave them the lead with a cracking strike in the 62th minute, and seven minutes later Muhannad Khairallah added a second. A minute from time, Al-Jazeera completed their victory through another fine left-footed strike from Ahmed Sameer.
The win keeps them top of Group B with 13 points, with a final game against Kuwait’s Al Kuwaiti.
