JOC REAPPOINTS ALAYYAN AS HEAD OF NEW BASKETBALL COMMITTEE

The Jordan Olympic Committee has accepted the resignation of the temporary committee that has been in place to run Basketball over the past 18 months.

The committee submitted its financial and administrative reports alongside the resignation, and reflected on a successful period that saw Jordan qualify through to the FIBA World Cup, to be held later this year in China, as well as successfully relaunch the men’s Basketball League.

The Executive Committee of the JOC decided to renew Mr. Mohammed Alayyan’s position as Chair of a new temporary committee to continue to manage the Federation in the run up, and during the national team’s participation at the World Cup.
