SQUAD NAMED FOR ASIAN 3X3 CHAMPIONSHIP

A mix of experience and youthful flare has been included in the provisional Jordan squad for the Asian 3x3 Basketball Championship being held in China from May 24-26.
The initial list includes Zaid Abbas, Yousef Abu Wazna, Mahmoud Abdeen, Malik Kanaan, Ibrahim Hamati and Khalid Abu Aboud with National Coach, Motassem Salama, taking charge of team affairs.
Jordan have been drawn in Group A along with Japan and Turkmenistan.
Meanwhile, the U18 team will continue preparations for the Youth World Cup, which will be hosted by Mongolia from June 3-7.
Coach, Samer Nino, takes charge and is expected to select his team soon.
The short sided version of the sport continues to grow in Jordan through a number of tournaments organised by the 3x3 Basketball Committee. The Orthodox Club recently opened the first approved 3x3 facility.
