FOOTBALLERS OLYMPIC DREAMS OVER

Jordan’s women’s team has lost their second match at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic football qualifiers, ending their chance of making it through.

The women lost to host nation Uzbekistan, 2-0, in Tashkent, with goals coming in the 72nd and 90th minutes.

That defeat, coupled with Vietnam winning 2-1 against Hong Kong, means Vietnam can’t be caught at the top of the group, with only the winners advancing. Jordan will play Vietnam in their final group game.
