YOUNG GOLFERS BAG MEDALS

Jordan’s young golfers have bagged a couple of medals at the Egypt International Junior Golf Championship held in Cairo until Saturday.
Hamza Salman finished second to secure silver in the Under 13 category, while Salem Al Abdalat (the youngest player in the tournament) won a bronze medal in the U9 event.
Their performances, along with solid rounds played by their teammates, highlighted the rapid development of the sport in Jordan following intensive programmes targeting the youngsters in recent years.
National team coach, Amer Radi, praised his young golfers saying that we are “starting to see the results of all the hard work put in”.
