Four Taekwondo medals IN Germany

Jordan have won an impressive four medals at the German International Taekwondo Open held in Hamburg. Anas Al-Sadiq (-88kg, gold medal), Natali Al-Humaidi (-62kg, silver), Rouslan Libzou (-68kg silver) and Juliana Al-Sadiq (-67kg, bronze) made it an impressive couple of days for Jordan at the tournament which has attracted 1,300 fighters from 49 countries.
Anas Al-Sadiq trail-blazed his way to gold with wins over Russia’s Roman Tifanov (20-4), Germany’s World Champion Alexander Bachmann (4-2), Turkey's Hasan Lazoglu (3-1) and then Poland's Christian Hirmis (18-15) in the final. It was his second gold medal over the past month following his victory on the Iranian island of Kish, Iran.
Al-Humaidi lost her final against the Czech Republic’s Petra Stolbova to settle for silver after earlier beating Finland’s Rukia Rahmani (21-1), Brazil’s Barbara Diaz (8-1), Slovenia's Donna Limagic (5-4) and China’s Yin Yuang (15-9). Libzou’s silver came after some brilliant form to reach the final with wins over Finland’s Otsano Sarinen, Sweden's Ali Aliyan (16-7), and the Czech Republic’s Petr Stelvil (29-9), before losing to Russia’s Sarmat Takayov (38-17).
Juliana Al-Sadiq settled for bronze after losing her semi-final match China’s Ji Huo (4-0). Earlier she had beaten Germany’s Emily Mugring and Finland’s Nora Ranico.
Zaid Halawani, Hamza Qattan and Luna Abu Aisha lost in the earlier rounds. It was another strong showing from Team Jordan who are preparing for the World Championships in Manchester in May.
