AFRICAN MIXED DOUBLES GOLD FOR JORDAN BADMINTON PAIR

Bahaa Al Shnaik and Domou’ Amro have continued their excellent form in Africa with medals at the Kenya International Badminton Championships.
The pair teamed up to win gold in the mixed doubles after beating Egypt’s Hidaya Hosni and Ahmed Saleh in the final.
Al Shnaik and Amro reached the gold medal match by beating pairs from Kenya, Mauritius, India and Algeria.
The gold was added to a tremendous silver medal won by Amro in the women’s singles where she won five matches before losing in the final. The tournament welcome over 150 international players.
The pair are steadily rising through the individual world rankings with Al-Shnaik climbing three places to 121, and No 1 in the Arab list, while Amro is up to 162 globally and second Arab behind Egypt’s Hosni, who is 145th.
