Jordan has been declared as ready to host the Junior Asian Fencing Championships, which will be held in Amman until March 8. Organised by the Jordan Fencing Federation, the event will be held at the gymnasium in Amman Ahliyya University with the participation of more than 700 fencers from 28 countries.
“We have a dedicated organising committee and gard working group of volunteers who have pulled together to make this event possible,” said Dr Khalid Attiyat, President of the Jordan Fencing Federation.
“We would like to thank the Fencing Confederation of Asia (FCA) for entrusting us with one of their biggest annual events.
“Jordan has an excellent track record for hosting major international sporting occasions so we are looking forward to hosting another successful one this week.”
The General Assembly for the FCA will be held on the sidelines of the Championships, as well as the meeting of the Executive Office of the FCA.
