JU-JITSU SELECTS NATIONAL JUNIOR TEAM

Jordan has named its national Ju-Jitsu team following a round of tough qualifiers that concluded on Friday night at the Baccalaureate School.
Almost 50 fighters took part from across the Kingdom in what was the first time such qualifiers have been held for youngsters born between 2002-2005 in seven weights.
Khalid Al Tabaa, a member of the Jujitsu Federation, said: “The aim of the tournament was to establish a youth team that will be able to feed new fighters through to the senior team in time. “The tournament showed that we have a great depth in talent and I am sure we will see many of these athletes go on to represent Jordan at major events in the future.”
