KURDI THIRD IN QATAR

Shergo Kurdi finished a brilliant third at the 33rd Qatar Open Amateur Golf Championships at the weekend.

The 15-year-old carded an impressive six-over from the three rounds to finish behind Doha-based winner Mikkel Mathiesen, of Denmark, on one-under, and England’s William Shucksmith, on six-over.

The three have qualified for the PGA European Tour’s Qatar Masters next month. The tournament attracted over 100 players.
