RUGBY SEASON UNDERWAY

A bonanza of rugby has kicked off the new season today at the Petra University Stadium.

The main event saw Citadel come back from behind to launch their campaign with a 20-18 win over Al Ahli, who will be in action again next week against the Nomads.

There was an U20 showcase prior to the big match between the two clubs with Citadel winning 24-14 and then Al Ahli winning 7-5 in a pair of 7s games.

Joining the men in action, the ladies also took to the field with the Citadel Queens beating Al Ahli 20-10 in another entertaining game of game 7s to underline the sport’s recent growth in participation.
