WOMEN WIN WEST ASIAN FOOTBALL OPENER

Jordan have eased to an opening 4-1 victory at the West Asian Women’s Football Championships in Bahrain.
Jordan went behind to the UAE, but Anfal Al Sufi levelled before half time and then added her second in the 70th minute following a brace from Raya Hena. Next Up is Lebanon on Friday.
The tournament, being played as a league format, has welcomed five teams including Bahrain, Palestine, UAE, Lebanon and Jordan.
