TAEKWONDO STAR SEARCH BEGINS

Hundreds of youngsters hoping to become the next big Jordanian Taekwondo star have been on display at the National Junior Open Championships being held in Rashed Al Zyoud Hall in Al Hussein Youth City.

The event has set a new record for participation with over 300 fighters from 71 centres taking part, showing the strength and popularity in the sport in the Kingdom.

The Federation is searching for fresh talent to bolster its national age group teams with Jordan hosting the Asian Junior Championships in 2019. The event will continue on Saturday.
