AL MASATFA SET FOR BRONZE MEDAL FACE-OFF

Abdulrahman Al Masatfah is preparing to make history at the WKF World Karate Championships being hosted in Madrid, Spain.
Al Masatfah will meet Chile’s Camilio Velozo for the bronze medal in the -67kg weight on Saturday, and if successful he will be the first Jordanian to a medal at the World Championships.
Meanwhile, the men’s team lost to Iran in the quarter-final, 3-1.
The team of Al Masatfah, Bashar Al Najjar, Mahmoud Al Sajjan, Hatim Al Dweik and Mutasim Khair earlier beat Russia, USA and Serbia.
They went into the repechage but missed out on bronze to Senegal, 3-0.
