Jordan launches its bid for World Karate Federation (WKF) World Championship medals today in Madrid, Spain.
Mahmoud Al Sajjan will meet Brazil’s Kaiki Rodriguez in the -84kg weight and teammate Mutasim Khair will fight Mexico’s Victor Carvagal in the +84kg category.
Huda Jaber will launch her -68kg campaign against Anky Smith from South Africa.
The event will welcome over 1,000 athletes from 139 countries, making this the biggest event in the history of the sport. Meanwhile, four Jordanian referees have been promoted by the WKF.
Ibrahim Al Deges, Faiq Al Jafari, Abeer Abdulwahab and Abdulhafeez Aliya received the A Degree, which will help to improve the standard of officiating in the Kingdom.
