JORDAN MEET SYRIA IN ASIAN HANDBALL OPENER

The Asian U18 Handball Championship is being hosted in Amman this week, and hosts Jordan meet Syria in tomorrow’s opener at Princess Sumayah Hall.

The pair will face off in Group B which also includes Chinese Taipei.

A total of 13 teams have been drawn into four groups with Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and China in Group A, South Korea, Iraq and India in Group C, while group D includes Japan, Qatar, UAE and Iran. The top side from each group will go through, and the tournament’s top three will qualify through to the World Cup in Macedonia next year.
