BOXER MAKES HISTORY AT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

Bader Simreen made history on Sunday by becoming the first Jordanian to win a medal at the World Youth Boxing Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

The youngster is guaranteed at least a bronze after reaching the semi-final with a victory over Bulgaria’s Ivan Atansove, 3-2, and will now meet Cuba’s Yumara Aribar.

Earlier he beat Azerbaijan’s Sabuhi Abishove, 5-0.
