MAJOR KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP SET FOR AMMAN LAUNCH

The 15th AKF Senior Championship will launch tomorrow (Friday) in the Prince Hamzeh Hall at Al Hussein Youth City until Sunday.
The event will welcome over 300 fighters from 29 countries and provides a great opportunity for participants as it provides Olympic ranking points.
The Organising Committee has declared that the venues are ready, and the teams have all arrived safely to Amman.
The event will kick off with initial rounds of the Kata and Individual Combat for both genders, with final rounds to be held on Saturday following the official Opening Ceremony of the event.
Meanwhile, Jordan have been training their elite fighters hard in preparations.
Coach, Mohammad Othman, said: “We are ready to be on podium as all our fighters have been training extremely hard. They know what’s at stake as the host nation, so expect them to put on a great show for the home fans.
