Jun 25, 2018
Another national sports team has chosen Amman to train in thanks to the state-of-the-art Olympic Preparations Centre, which is managed by the Jordan Olympic Committee.
The Saudi Arabia Taekwondo team has arrived in Amman to train with the Jordan team in preparation for the Al Hassan International Championship taking place here from July 5-7.
The Saudi delegation consists of eight elite fighters with Aziz Ashraqi, the head coach, saying he is impressed by what he has seen so far.
“Jordan are the strongest in our region for Taekwondo so it is a huge benefit for us to train with them at such an impressive facility,” he said. “This facility will help to improve the professional levels of all sports in Jordan and I congratulate them for setting it up.”
Croatia will also arrive this week in Amman to camp at the Centre prior to the event, which has been classed as a G1 tournament and will welcome over 30 countries.
