SHANNIK WINS BRONZE IN CAMEROON

Jordan Badminton star, Bahaa Shannik, has won bronze at the Cameroon Open held over the past three days.

The 20-year-old lost his semi-final match to top seed Adam Mendrik from the Czech Republic, 2-1.

But it was good enough, along with other recent results, to book a place for the World Championships that will be held in Nanjing, China, next month along with his teammate Nayef Mansour.

Bahaa is the top ranked Arab in the world at 133.
