Aliya Bushnaq finished sixth in the final of the 400m at the 18th Asian Junior Athletics Championships taking place in Japan.
The youngster clocked a time of 56.22 seconds to finish six overall, with India’s Jesna Mathieu taking gold in 53.26.
Meanwhile, teammate Shareif Al Atawneh finished seventh in the 1500m in a time of 3:54.60.
Qatar’s Seif Al Eldein crossed the line first in 3:49.30 followed by Japan’s Rito Hanzawa.
