ATAWNEH, BUSHNAQ INTO ASIAN FINALS

Two Jordanian athletes have qualified to their respective finals at the Asian Youth Athletics Championships being held in Japan.

Asian Junior champion, Shareif Al Atawneh, reached the final of the 1500m after finishing fifth in a time of 4:00.07, and he will take his place alongside runners from India, Japan, Iran, Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, Iraq, Qatar and Kazakhstan in the final.

Meanwhile, Aliya Bushnaq reached the final of the 400m after clocking a time of 57.54. Her teammate Maya Nasrawi missed out.

Meanwhile, Anoud Muhaisen and Masa Al Shakah missed out on the final of the 100m.
