JOC CELEBRATES RAMADAN WITH SPORTING FAMILY

Under the patronage of its President, HRH Prince Feisal Al Hussein, the Jordan Olympic Committee held its Ramadan Iftar in Al Hussein Youth City.
The celebration was also attended by HRH Princess Zeina Al Feisal, HRH Princess Rahma Al Hassan, Dr. Basheer Al Rawashdeh, Minister of Youth, Media, Sponsors, Partners and National Sport Federations.
JOC Secretary General, Nasser Majali, welcomed guests with a speech that highlighted sport’s development over the past 12 months. “Jordan sport has gone through some major developments over the past year.
Following the lead of HRH Prince Feisal, the JOC has launched many programmes and projects that better serve the sports movement in the Kingdom.”
The celebrations included a touching tribute to the late Rateb Al Damen, a JOC Board Member who passed away last month.
Also a video was shown that put the athlete achievements in the spotlight and also highlighted the four athletes that have already secured their places for the next Youth Olympic Games later this year.
The evening also focussed on the many new initiatives including the Olympic Preparation Programme (OPC), Sporting School and Qusai Initiative.
HRH Prince Feisal honoured the JOC sponsors that included Great Amman Municipality, Umniah, Glosante Enhancing Health, Shami Eye Cetnre, Al Rayah Media Group, Samsung and Backaldrin.
