OLYMPIC VALUES PROMOTED TO SCHOOL CHILDREN

The Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) is promoting the values of sport through its Olympic Values Programme as part of its Sporting Schools project.

Under the title of Avoiding Violence, the programme gathered over 50 kids to educate them about the positive role that sport can play on their lives.
Launched in February, the Olympic Values Programme has proved hugely popular with the students who have learnt how they can welcome the power of sport and its values into their everyday lives.
The programme is also aiming to enhance their social skills and encourage respect and tolerance.
As well as class room teaching, the programme introduces kids to games that encourage teamwork.
Parents have reported back to the JOC that the course is already making an impact on their children’s attitude and behaviour in both school and at home.
