JORDAN FINISH ARAB CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH DOUBLE GOLD

Jordan ended their participation at the 18th Arab Athletics Championship with two more gold medals on the final day.
Sharief Al Atawneh took gold in the 5000m after clocking a time of 14 minutes 43.20 seconds, beating Moroccans Mohammad Al Rashdi and Hisham Lakheil into second and third.
His teammate, Aliya Bushnaq, then won gold on the 200m in a time of 24.64 seconds, followed by Morocco's Hajar Al Daw in second and Tunisia’s Shai'ma Ayashi in third.
Raghad Al Haiari added a bronze to Jordan’s haul in the 400m Hurdles. Jordan finished seventh on the medals table with 12, including three gold, two silver and seven bronze.
Morocco topped the table with 44 medals, followed by Egypt who won 13 medals while Qatar finished third.
Amman welcomed over 300 athletes to the event representing 15 countries including Lebanon, Palestine, Tunisia, Iraq, Morocco, Egypt, Sudan, UAE, Qatar, Kuwaitm Bahrain, Libya, Djibouti, Mauritania and Jordan.
