India’s Table Tennis team has arrived in Jordan to camp at the Olympic Preparation Centre (OPC) with their Jordanian counterparts until March 27.
Seven players have arrived from the country’s Men, Women and Junior teams after hearing of the quality facilities now available in Jordan at the Centre.
The Jordan team will benefit from intensive training with international opposition ahead of the West Asian Championships that will be held in Amman at the end of this month.
Coach, Amro Reda, pointed out the importance of training with Indians.
"It will be great for our players to prepare by competing against our Indian guests; they can only benefit from participating in such a camp,” he said.
This is the second overseas team to visit the OPC, following Egypt's Zamalek in February.
