BOXERS GO FOR ASIAN GLORY

Obadah Al Kesbeh (60kg) is leading Jordan’s assault for glory at the Asian Boxing Championships after qualifying through to round two in Thailand.

Al Kesbeh, who won silver at the last Asian Champs in 2013, is hotly tipped for a place at the Olympics next summer but will have to prove himself this week on the Asian level.

He is one of eight Jordanians fighting in Thailand, and he eased through to round two with a 3-0 win over Korea’s Lim.
