IRAN PIP JORDAN TO WEST ASIAN HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Unbeaten Iran pipped hosts Jordan to the 2nd Women’s Handball championship held at Princess Sumaya Hall.
Iran took gold following their stunning 32-8 win over Syria yesterday.
Jordan settled for silver, suffering just one defeat to the champions, after they finished their campaign with a 23-17 win over Qatar.

JORDAN TO HOST ASIAN JUNIORS
The Jordan Handball Federation will host the Asian Juniors Championship from September 14-24.
The international Federation’s Vice President, Bader Deiab, signed an agreement with Dr. Tayseer Al Mansi, Jordan Handball Federation President, on the sidelines of the West Asian Women’s Championship that was held Amman.
Deiab said: “We are satisfied with the level of hosting sports events here in Jordan. The country has staged many Asian events successfully and we are looking forward to coming back here in September."
