GLORY FOR JORDAN AT TABLE TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS

Team Jordan took advantage of home territory to win medals at the International Table Tennis Championships held in Al Hussein Youth City, Amman.

Under the patronage of the Jordan Olympic Committee’s Secretary General Mrs. Lana Al Jaghbeer, the event attracted 72 players from 11 countries with Masah Al Khawaldeh winning gold in the Youth category for females.

There were further medals won across several female age categories for Batool Al Rashdan (silver) and bronze medals for Aseel Al Hawamdeh, Mira Al Sa’aideh, Lima Khater and Tina Khouri.

Khalid Basim won silver in the youth category for males.

Following the successful hosting of this championship, Jordan will now wait to see whether the international federation will grant them permission to host it annually after being assessed this time around.
