THIRD POWERLIFTING WORLD MEDAL

Jordan’s medal run at the World Powerlifting Championship continued in Mexico City last night.

Jameel Shebli added a bronze in the 107kg category to Omar Qaradah' earlier silver and Abdulkareem Khattab’s bronze.

The Rio Olympics bronze medal winner lifted 235kg, while Rio gold medalist Siamand Rahman, from Iran, took gold.

Previously, Shebli has won bronze medals at both the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Paralympics in Shot Put.
