SERRAJ MAKES ASIAN QUARTER-FINALS

Mohammad Al Serraj has booked a place in the quarter-finals of the 24th Asian Youth and Junior Squash Championships taking place at the Al Hassan Squash Centre.
The home favourite beat Lee Dong from South Korea 3-0 and will meet Pakistan’s Abbas Zeb on Thursday night for a place in the last four.
It wasn’t such a good day though for his teammates who all lost their second round matches.
In the same U19 category, Abdulkader Al Jeitan lost to Abhay Singh, of India, 3-0.
In the U17 category Hamzeh Al Serraj lost to Wai Lok from Hong Kong and Abdulrahman Mohammad lost to Danial Izham from Malaysia.
In the U15s, Abdulrahman Al Serraj lost to Malaysia’s Muhammad Azhar, Ahmad Hudaib lost to Pakistan’s Asad Ullah, Bara’ Al Katatneh lost to Lap Man from Hong Kong and Karam Al Bataineh lost to India’s Navaneeth Prabhu.
There were defeats too for Mohammad Al Bataineh and Ahmad Bikdash in the U13 competition.
