SIX MEDALS AT KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Jordan picked up six medals on the first day of the Youth and Juniors Arab Karate Championships held in Egypt.

There were silver medals for Khaled Al Habashneh (63g) and Razan Al Musa (54kg) and bronze medals for Tariq Zuhair (52kg), Ala' Traih (54kg), Mohammad Fahed (55kg) and the female team (Ala' Traih, Razan Al Musa, Hala Traish).

Jordan is participating against fighters from Egypt, Algeria, Libya, Sudan, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, UAE and Lebanon and is looking to impress ahead of the World Championships later this year in Indonesia.
