ASIAN YOUTH SQUASH KICKS OFF IN AMMAN

The 24th Asian Squash Championships gets underway tomorrow (Tuesday) in the Hassan Squash Centre and is being organised by the Jordan Squash Federation.
Running through to August 19, the tournament will welcome 140 players from Sri Lanka, India, Malaysia, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Macao, Japan, Qatar, Pakistan, South Korea and Jordan.
Home favourite Mohammad Serraj will launch his U19 campaign on Wednesday by meeting the winner between Korea’s Lee Dong and India’s Krish Kapur in round two of U19.
Tuesday schedule for Jordanians: U19: Abdulkader Al Jetan v Ha Weerasinghe (Sri Lanka).
U17: Mahmoud Ayash v Mustafa Al Ma’mouri (Iraq); Abdulrahman Ibrahim v Methmal Wood (Sri Lanka); Hamzeh Serraj v Rasheed Ali (Qatar).
U15: Abdulrahman Serraj v Randina Dahur (Sri Lanka); Ahmad Hudaib v Ibrahim Darweesh (Qatar); Bara’ Al Khatatneh v Sadisha Rajapashka (Sri Lanka).
U13: Mohammad Al Bataineh v Weckasinghe Cten (Sri Lanka); Ahmad Beckdash v Mohammad Ibrahim (Pakistan).
